Think Zip drives, multiple floppy formats, etc. At one point, IBM had a project underway to make it possible to read mag tapes, regardless of format, by including a reader on the tape – must find out what happened to that. Paper, however, is a disposal and environmental problem to continue to nourish the cafe table occupants. <o:p></o:p></p><p>This all said, the browser as a media consumption device is both fantastic for its multimedia uses, and its form factor is the complete pits.
