<div dir="ltr">Ok. Found a solution. I must once again give Apple credit for being super helpful. They have a lease program for business owners. So I ordered iMac Pro, am holding back on Mac Pro as it won't be out before September. But the lease program allows me to upgrade every year, two year or 3 years. So I will be upgrading to Mac Pro once the lease is up.<div><br></div><div>Where I appreciate Apple is that I wanted more info on the system I needed. Most people tend to think more core more RAM makes it powerful. Not really. It depends on the workflow. NLEs can't see or use more cores, they are more sensitive to clock speed. So getting an 18 core iMac won't be any more efficient than 8 core Mac. Both Adobe Premiere and FCP can utilize only so much core. So what Apple did was put me on phone (and THEY CALLED ME) with a video professional and we discussed all possibilities and he suggested that I should get 8 core 32GB memory. It was NOT about trying to sell me the most expensive mac, it was all about finding the right one for me. It was almost an hour-long call. We ended up settling on 10 core and 64GB of RAM, mainly because I said I might also run some VMs for Linux and Windows stories. It will NEVER happen anywhere else. So when people become Apple fan these are the reasons. It's not that there are zombies out there who have no brains. It's about getting a service and experience you will NOT get anywhere else.</div><div><br></div><div>Also, that concludes my transition from being a desktop Linux user to a macOS user, I am finally with a platform that just works and lets me do all those things that I was not able to do for the last 15 years. Year of desktop Linux will never arrive. <br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Thu, May 30, 2019 at 9:28 PM Swapnil “Swap” Bhartiya <<a href="mailto:arnieswap@gmail.com">arnieswap@gmail.com</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div style="overflow-wrap: break-word;">It still doesn’t solve my problem. <br><div><br><blockquote type="cite"><div>On May 30, 2019, at 9:26 PM, Tom Henderson <<a href="mailto:thenderson@extremelabs.com" target="_blank">thenderson@extremelabs.com</a>> wrote:</div><br class="gmail-m_8826337402412580130Apple-interchange-newline"><div>
