Okay, this is from an old Luddite that doesn't own (or want) a phone 
smarter than me, and there's no cell service at my house anyway:

I run Linux (mint) on my desktop system. Will an "app" work on my 
boat-anchor? I don't know from Android and iOS, though I /think/ Android 
is Linux based.
