I shop occasionally at Micro Center, get their mailings. Couple times a
year I get offer of free storage (choice of USB stick or couple
different memory cards) plus two certificates to give away for free
storage half that size. Every time, storage has doubled. I forget most
recent numbers -- maybe 64/32 GB, or even 128/64GB. Since I drive past
the store anyway, I stop in for mine -- even though like Daniel, I have
a shopping bag full of USB sticks. And between local Apple/Windows
groups, someone is always happy to get the other certs.
These are of course amazing, since I nostalgically remember running
timesharing system on 0.5MB 370/145 with 30 or so active users. And
doing a competitive upgrade for it, spending $30,000 for 0.25MB bump.
