Make a list. Call or email ten editors. Think of five pitches, tailor 
them for each editor. Rinse, repeat.

Uber is definitely easier. Go to Monster.com and look up tech writer 
gigs in your area-- there are plenty of them, contract and W2. Wash your 
chinos and a nice shirt, shave, and do interviews.

Today is a good day to start, because each day, your overhead costs are 
not going down.
