We not only seem to have not learned any real lessons from that day, but as
the "greatest generation" dies off we seem to be "unlearning" the lessons
from WWII, with the specter of fascism rising around the world.

I am sad for what happened that day and for what is happening today. At the
moment I'm not particularly hopeful.
