[Ipg-smz] "If I was Thanos"

If I was Thanos I’d say “ending the tech industries’ amazing ‘nowism’ … that there was never a good software idea or concept in the past…”
As for STEM, disagree. We produce plenty of STEM students… when the salaries markedly rise THEN we’ll know that we don’t have enough. I remember stories of physicists and engineers in NYC driving cabs when I was a kid. And know of plenty of “STEM” people who can’t find jobs because job descriptions and “required” skills listed for positions are so narrow today that there’s no wonder there’s a perceived “shortage”

We’re gonna get kicked to -pol for this…
We don’t produce enough STEM students because we don’t encourage it. I’ve read that in China they ration financial aid and focus on STEM majors. We should do the same here. The idea of funding a kid to get an English Lit degree at a $70k liberal arts school is asinine. You want to be a data scientist? Ok, we’ll pay for that.
And yeah, Amazon paying zero taxes is sickening.

US companies spending almost as much time figuring out clever schemes to avoid paying taxes as they do on producing goods/services, and then whining that underfunded US schools are failing at graduating enough STEM talent.

A press completely unwilling to take on the industry for all of the above
I’m sorry did you say one?

"If I was Thanos"
If you could snap your fingers and change anything about the tech industry, what would you change?
Crowdsourcing this for a gallery. And yes, it has to be limited to the tech industry. But it could be anything.
