[Ipg-smz] We need an alternative to our existing lists

What do we know about these folks? An option? They have a free tier we could

When I tried to go to group.io, I got a page trying to flog the domain. Ah -
nevermind - it's groups.io. Clever of them to automate moving of Yahoo and
Google groups. Can't see pricing, though, and have no desire to sign up just
to see what it costs!

Some alternatives include group.io (am on four ex-yahoo/refugee lists there)

 

Cheap hosting as in namecheap/hostgator/etc that costs about $200 yr that
uses php-ish bbs-ish (even 2FA/MFA authenticated) hosting (meaning

NON-email)

 

Or migrate totally to slack, which visually is tough for what we do as a
mailing list.

 

We're geeks here. Time to crack some knuckles. Not so long ago, David
Gewirtz pushed through the netpress.org re-do pretty successfully. 

Perhaps one of us can help you migrate the mailman version to something
modern. I have MySQL/SQL-of-anything skills, if that's a problem. I could be
a DBA if it didn't seem to require heavy high-calibre weapons.
