Regardless of privacy etc... Facebook groups are for totally
throw-away material. There is no reliable way to search through them,
and even if I were wrong on this now, there would still be surely no
way period, by definition, to be sure that such a way still existed
six months, or six days, after the switch is made. Ditto for
bookmarking posts, or conversation. The slightest change in FB
policies or privacy default will render them unusable, even if the
post is still there somewhere. Social networks like FB are built to
keep users in the present moment, without any hook to the past that
the network can't rearrange as they please. It's their nature.

ALSO: all URLs shared in FB have their tracking tag appended. Unless
one removes it (= the ?fbclid part and everything after it) manually,
sharing those URLs actively contributes to tracking by FB of
(connections among) people even if they are not on FB. For some, if
may be a non-issue. For me, it is why I very seldom share outside FB
links found on FB.
