I freely admit that this discussion has gone far beyond my knowledge or
experience. I've been retired for years, writing -- well, crap, except
maybe for Earth's Song, but even it's simple words telling a simple
story, never mind that it deals with Relativity and Cosmology, good guys
and bad guys.

All I know is, I want is emails to show up in my email. My problem with
Facebook is with their interface(s). I get a notice that someone has
posted something on Facebook, <<click>> and I get a screen with three or
four windows and maybe a pop up or two that don't mean diddly to me. Why
not just post it to the list where I'll see it instead of forcing me to
click on a link, log in on Facebook, and then deal with an ugly
interface? 9 out of 10 times I ignore those notices. I'll probably do
the same with whatever other "social whatsit" you inflict upon me.

Remember the KISS principle? Keep It Simple Stupid! If you then need
more, adjourn to the Pub and hash it out there.
