[Ipg-smz] Another day, another puzzling PR pitch lede...

Daniel:

Someone, somewhere, decided that I'm the Mark Brownstein who owns some
restaurants in the Los Angeles area (I'm not), and put my name into a
mail list.

I get a lot of messages that start with something like 'We spoke last
week', or 'here's the information you requested,' or, 'we've got the
funding you requested,' other blatant lies.

Like you, I often ask 'when did you send this,' or 'how did you get my
name,' or 'what business do you think I'm in,' or other stuff to
challenge their lies. I've gotten tired of the BS that these marketers
(and, I guess, P.R. people) come up with to start a dialog. I hate being
lied to.
