Still can't top the Headless Body in Topless Bar headline. That was classic.

 

And does anyone remember the 1993 revolt when the Post went bankrupt and
some questionable businessman tried to buy it out? They ran a special issue
with Alexander Hamilton (the founder) on the cover page crying and had 8
pages of stories blasting the new owner, repeatedly calling him a nut. God I
wish I'd saved that one. I was living in Stamford, CT at the time, which is
essentially a NY suburb and had a front row seat to the lunacy.
