[Ipg-smz] not my best work

I'm a little cranky today because I'm finishing up a piece and it is not my
best work. I know, when you write at the volume we do, about 50% of our
stuff will not be our best work because that is how averages work - what
about about when you know something is bottom 25%?
It's easy for me to pick a fight about an AI tool or some nits about a
social movement instead of working on improving my own game.
For now I'll put it on the shelf and revisit it in a day or three with
fresh eyes.
Does anyone else have ideas with how to deal with this sort of situation?
