[Ipg-smz] Why I love Apple?

As someone who has been hardcore Desktop Linux user and Advocate, I am kind
of loving Apple. People say Apple is not for professionals and its toys.
But today I had an amazing experience with Apple and it was NOT about their
hardware (BTW, Google Pixel costs as much as MacBook and can't do half of
the stuff). So I moved from Adobe Premiere to FCPX and I had some issues. I
work on a video on my MacBook Pro and save it as a project so I can revisit
or make changes in future if needed. I have a Linux server for over 50TB
where I store all my such files. However, when I bring the files back to my
Mack to edit, the external plugins will show error. I did find a workaround
(macOS being UNIX, everything is a file)....but I wanted a solution so I
left a message to Apple and they called me back at 9 am. He went through
the whole issue, we spend almost 45 minutes on the phone where he tried to
solve the issue and it seems that the ext4/BTRF file system might be
messing up with the bundled files and may break the structure. He gave
great tips about best practices and so one. As a multimedia professional,
my problem was solved over the phone. And they CALLED. Last time I had a
hardware related issue and they fixed it and this time I had a software
related problem and they solved it.
Just wanted to share this story. I am NOT an Apple fan or Google fan or
Microsoft fan. I am just a user, and I would LOVE the company who will help
me and *not* charge for it. More than anything, it's nice to see there is
someone to get help from.
Best Regards,
