[Ipg-smz] Need to speak to security expert?

Hey all,

I am hoping someone in this crowd has a contact that is heavy into
Internet security?

A bit of background: I'm a programmer first, writer second. I actually
am doing a freelance gig for a company building an IoT device and my
job is to write the firmware running on it.

Why I want to speak to someone: I am seeing some strange data coming
from my device that makes me feel like the device is talking to the
Cisco switch I have installed in my home LAN. To put it simply, there
is nothing in my code or anything else I am aware of that would
possibly cause this to happen. This is not the first time this has
happened, either (last time it was different data):

[DEBUG 2019-07-11 17:20:05] [STM32] Invalid / Unknown Command
Provided: 0-IPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.2(55)SE3, RELEASE
SOFTWARE (fc1)
Technical Support: http://www.cisco.com/techsupport
Copyright

My mind immediately went to suspicions that the hardware itself has
some sort of compromise... clearly being out of my expertise however I
want to speak to someone about it to validate maybe I'm just being
paranoid?

John
