Indeed.

There’s also the battling emotions of “Everyone expects me to be heartbroken and I don’t know what to say.” That’s how I felt after my mother-in-law died. I didn’t shed a tear, but everybody was braced for me to be upset. Dealing with their expectations was… odd.
