[Ipg-smz] What college class or major did you transfer out of?

I started as a Chem major because I was interested in the chemistry of
life. I barely made it out of freshman year -- it seems colleges try to
bore you to death in the first year. So I flunked out in the first semester
of sophomore year. Hated college - hated it - long story.

Joined the Army and (long story) managed to get sent to Germany instead of
Vietnam. (Had a wonderful time a as an HQ clerk in Germany -- my brother
got the privilege of defending our freedoms as a postal clerk  on the DMZ.)
Got a job on the Overseas Weekly in Oakland-- which introduced me to
journalism

Many stories in there.
