[Ipg-smz] Quantum computing question for my next short story

The danger of using bleeding-edge tech -- or anything too detailed -- in
an sf story like this is it risks being quickly outdated, possibly even
before you write "The End."

Throwing in some (buzz)words like "quantum <whatever>" can't hurt, but too
specific and, well, I recently re-read a Robert Silverberg story,
medium-from-when-written (written in the 80s? 90s?) with the protagonist
narrate-thinking about his wrist computer, with its 350 megabytes of data
capacity. Given the plethora of advanced medical tech, it wasn't a
near-future.

Yeah, the buzzwords don't matter so much as the what-you-do-with-it, but
you don't want to handicap things.
