[Ipg-smz] I got this stupid response from a Gartner analyst today about a query I sent to him...

Hi all,

OMG, I got the most ridiculous responses ever from a Gartner analyst
today...

I asked for comments for a story I am working on. I asked for his thoughts
on the vendor's expanded product offering and what it might offer to the
channel and customers.

Here is this guy's response...

"My apologies at not being able to assist.  Gartner analysts do not make
public comments regarding any specific vendor’s products, services, or
other offerings.

Thanks for your note.

However, I have been talking to Gartner analysts for 19 years as a tech
journalist and they always share their thoughts on technologies, trends,
companies and products with me.

Christy Pettey and her team connect me with analysts regularly.

I don't even know what to say.  :)
