Hooray! Do you know where you'll place the story?

Me, as you know.

If they offered you housing, it'll probably be at Hip Hotel (http://www.hiphotel.directotels.com/ <http://www.hiphotel.directotels.com/>), which is in the middle of the tourist area and almost directly across the street from the venue -- super convenient and very pleasant. (Each room has a different regional theme: I've stayed in the Marrakech and Vienna rooms.) That's where journalists have been for the last two years.
Heidelberg-Altstadt is the closest train station, but it's a mile over cobblestones. Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof + bus to Universitätsplatz is better. You'll probably fly in and out of Frankfurt.
The weather is similar to the U.S. East Coast's. It'll probably be comfortable for long sleeves, but bring some layers (including rainwear).
I expect Wylder Green (media relations staffer -- nice guy from Texas) to send you details soon. It's all very well organized.
See you there! Feel free to write me privately.
