Well here's a bit of computer history I never heard before ...
At the Salesforce Trailhead conference in SF this morning, Salesforce
cofounder Parker Harris was giving a bit of company history and mentioned
in passing how the company had the idea for an app store many years ago and
created an app store with the appstore.com URL, "but we nicely gave it to
Steve Jobs at Apple to use." That's why Salesforce's app store is called
AppExchange.
He said it was an interesting story for another time. Wow. I suspect
Salesforce wishes it kept the name
