[Ipg-smz] Looking for opinions/experience

Nicotine is a wonderful drug. I quit smoking anyway about five years
ago. I also dropped 80lbs. My late father did this, quit/lose weight. He
passed of an inherited clotting disorder, Factor V Leiden, which I have,
but not the double dose he did. I swim, lift weights, and can drop and
give you 20+ on a good day. But no, no smoking, delicious as nicotine
can be. My mother smoked until 75; her mother until 84. And up the other
line, they drank like fish-- as were the times.

The damn thing is that my son smokes. Not like I did, but enough that he
ought to quit. Like me, he's an addict. Kicking will be tough.

And tomorrow you can see my Windows 2019 Server review at IDG Insider
Pro, a review after a two-year hiatus from IDG. It was heavily and
surgically edited, but remains OK. I privately wonder WHY they made it a
release, other than contractual revenues. The good thing: inherently
more secure. The bad thing: there's really still a Berlin Wall between
the host and Linux/anything-else for production purposes. I don't share
SJV-N's prediction of a Windows-ish kernel any time soon. There's too
much ego there, and Humble Pie isn't in the Microsoft diet. Links tomorrow.

I've been writing for a vendor, not journalism, rather, technical copy.
I'm bound not to release their name. So yeah, writing..... in the ham
shack, listening to the whirring fans, Keith Jarrett, or one of my
brother's 50K+ vinyl albums. For the hams in the audience, some FT4, and
JT8Call modes.
