Well, that sucks. In June I had the same trouble with Delta that caused 
me to cancel covering a data center conference in Boca Raton. Plane at 
GSO needed a part. They arrived and installed the part, but that somehow 
triggered another problem.

By complaining on Twitter, I was able to convince Delta to cut a check 
to the amount of the cancellation fee at the hotel in Boca Raton, which 
was close to $200. The refunded my ticket, and gave me 7,500 sky miles.
