[Ipg-smz] nest app for Linux?

Here's my scenario:

I have a Nest thermostat (Mark 3, if I recall correctly). It is kind of 
a pain to program, but I can do it. Took me 45 minutes to tidy up the 
schedule this morning.

I do not have a smart phone. Call me paranoid, but I'm not wild about 
linking my Nest to my WiFi.

Setting aside my paranoia, I went on the Nest (Google) web site and 
asked if there's a nest app for Linux, and got little help. Android? 
Yep. Windows 10? Yep. Linux??? Say whut?

So, I'll deal with programming the nest, but left dangling in my mind 
is, "What is the relationship (if any) between Android and Linux?
