I've finally (I think) figured out how to get along with programming
Nest to perform the most basic functions, and it does work well with my
ground-source heat pump. But, naif that I am, I don't know whether it is
linked to my WiFi or not. If it is, I didn't do it. I guess that should
be my next task.

Meanwhile, my ISP (Wildblue) has been absorbed by Viacom, and they're
offering me, a valued WildBlue customer for many years, a "free upgrade"
starting at  $50/month (no increase from what I pay now) with...

  * Speeds starting at up to 12 Mbps for an even better internet experience
  * More data so you can do more online
  * Our newest technology and equipment
  * Built-in Wi-Fi

Presumably that last means a new router integrated with the satellite
"modem" ?  I'll look into that on Monday.
