[Ipg-smz] The 9/11 Thread

I was part of the team putting together the InteropNET for the Atlanta show and had 13 of my students with me. We all watched from the show floor during that day and all the booths had a news outlet streaming. We maxed out both of our internet feeds. The NOC team went around distributing copies of VLC to the booths and taught the folks how to catch our multicast stream. We went from maxing out twin oc-12 links to around 12mb/sec with multicast.

My father, who had already left us before 9/11/01, and my
second-from-the-youngest brother both have birthdays on 9/11.
