[Ipg-smz] The evolution of phrasings over time

Fifty year ago, when you talked about helping poor people, it was okay to say: "Helping poor people." 

Then everyone came to understand that this phrasing was demeaning -- so people started saying: 

"Helping underserved communities." 

At a conference last weekend, I learned of a better phrasing, which I'll be using. 

"Helping underestimated communities." 

It's not that these communities are poor or that they underserved -- it's that they are underestimated. 

That affords them the dignity they deserve.
