So Steve Ballmer and his wife have a new found interest for " economical mobility for kids who are born into the poorest families.

(As explained in the WSJ article at [ https://www.wsj.com/articles/steve-ballmers-bid-for-an-educated-citizenry-1542037529 | https://www.wsj.com/articles/steve-ballmers-bid-for-an-educated-citizenry-1542037529 ] )

Wondering how long it might take him to find the value proposition offered by open source in that regard.

Although, if he found value in open source, wouldn't he be spreading cancer? Spreading cancer to the most vulnerable
members of society?

Here's something worth wondering - would his comments of 2001 have harmed the parents of the children he is now seeking to help.

That's worth thinking about. Damage done becomes difficult to become undone.
