[Ipg-smz] [Ipg-l] Linux Journal Shuts Down

It was a respectable place. It needed some marketing juice, and taking
itself less seriously.

I saw your byline there frequently. Sorry it's gone. It joins the
tombstones of so many publications. The good news: there'll be more
publications. The Guild has a lot of great and thoughtful tech writers.
Journalism is mountainous, and the bottom has a rocky reputation.

I've written a lot of articles for Linux Journal over the years and they've always been good to me, even when I got extremely drunk at their parties or plied their readers with alcohol. Of the people on this list, I probably have the longest (or close to it) history with the publication, so it's hard to see the magazine die yet again. It's also sad because it's yet another publication following so many others into extinction.
