Subject: I am probably not the only one to have a near stroke thanks to Fidelity
So I have several hundreds of thousands of dollars invested in a retirement account with Fidelity. I just logged in to check it and the summary says $0.00 for all accounts and nothing happens when I click on the activities and trades tab.
It took me a while to get through to customer service, but I finally did. They assured me all my money is there, it's just an issue they're having with the system and it's apparently a widespread problem. If no one actually lost any money that's of course good, but ... this was so nerve-wracking! I was told to keep checking throughout the day to see if it's been resolved; he said there is no system in place to notify customers.
