My father -- NYC reporter -- told story that after long-ago redesign of
New York Post (then a broadsheet, not tabloid) -- after a while (weeks,
at least) someone inquired what the gag was about split-sheet (first
page second section) heading. Inspection revealed it to be

New Pork Yost

...but I've never been able to confirm this. Maybe Newseum can help or a
trial subscription to newspapers.com.

I used to collect occasional WaPo typos because they were unusual, no
longer. Towards end of my freelancing for Post -- maybe 2010 -- editor
warned me to take extra care in submissions because copy desk had been
greatly reduced.
