Received this from soon-to-be-gone Newseum. Foolishly, installed it and
created account.

I suggest not bothering.

My comments to ffi at our.news -- which seems to have perpetrated it, plus
various Newseum contacts I had, most of whom are gone:

---

Can this really be as nightmarish as it appears?

Why did I receive this garbage: [Our.News] You just earned 100 Creds!

Why gamify reading news?

Why is there no Unsubscribe link in that note?

Why do you encourage linking accounts to this nonsense; that's a
wonderful way to create security risks.

I submitted on website a few more scathing comments about this folly.

Has the Newseum lost its mind in its last year of existence?

Please CANCEL MY ACCOUNT and don't bother me again with this plausible
idea done badly.

I copied a couple people whose email addresses I have, hoping they're
still at Newseum. If so, please forward this up through management to
reach the person responsible.

Newstrition
The First Amendment Center of the Freedom Forum Institute recently
unveiled its Newstrition® iOS application
<http://engage.newseum.org/site/R?i=USdpWIjzuqSrQ22waSTqQQ>, a mobile
adaptation of the Chrome and Firefox browser extensions it launched late
last year in collaboration with social news platform Our.News
<http://engage.newseum.org/site/R?i=zXFon_fu_2RJFDq3YbNr_w>.

You can use this interactive tool
<http://engage.newseum.org/site/R?i=qFhp9DFy-D-BD74FIJQ29Q> to make
informed decisions about what is real news and what is misinformation,
and you'll finally have details about the online news outlets you
regularly consume available at your fingertips!

The Newstrition application is free! Now you can easily fact-check the
news you read on your phone. The tool provides quick and verified
information about who published a news story, what sources it relies
upon and whether others consider it to be opinion or news.

The mobile application is *now available for download* at the App Store
