I'm no ham (my dad had a set, though he didn't use it much -- it got 
passed along after his death to ham friends), but I see there is, 
unsurprisingly, "Ham Radio For Dummies" -- whether it's any good (I won't 
say "kosher" :-), I would have no idea.
