And just in case anyone is interested, Daniel's CostCo suggestion led me 
down interesting Google paths. Such as:

*How much does*an*average 10kW solar system cost*? In the US, an*average 
10kW solar system costs*between $2.90 and $3.30 per watt. That comes out 
to an initial price tag of $29-33 k before the 30 percent*solar*tax 
credit. In some areas, additional state or utility based rebates and 
credits may reduce the price even more.
