Hi Mark,
Welcome on board. You're probably reading this on an email list other
than the one it was sent on. That's because the l list is currently
refusing to acknowledge emails from some of us -- which might have
something to do with why your application went unheeded. Anyway, I've
been assured by this ships captain and first mate that repairs will be
made as soon as we return to port. Not to worry, however, none of us are
in any danger and the craft remains seaworthy, just a little bit out of
communications.
I'm pretty sure you'll like it here. Most of us are nice, some of us are
not, which is pretty much as things are everywhere. Ignore the jerks and
make friends with the folks you find friendly. Oh, and don't feed Esther
chocolates. She's highly allergic. Just reading the word can make her
break out in hives, so it's best to not even mention it.
