True. Also male. I'm well aware those attributes influence -- or 
determine! -- my perspective and interactions. And I live in a 
relatively upscale and safe area of a safe and economically sound 
county. And I was privileged being born into solidly middle-class life 
in NYC. I've no illusion that any of this is universal and deplore 
various inequalities in this country. And I'm sure that less fortunate 
people can see a different side of law enforcement. My point was simply 
that generalizations may fail and I don't think the people I've dealt 
with look for ways to trick/trap/incriminate people. In fact, Fairfax 
has multiple diversion programs where police are mandated to first 
consider ways to avoid criminalizing certain actions.
