Official Bio

Telling compelling stories about technology is my specialty, but in recent years, I’ve broadened my expertise to healthcare – originally, just healthcare IT, but now all aspects of healthcare. On the technology writing side, I’ve focused on issues such as security, digital identity, calendaring and scheduling, as ways to make us all more productive yet safe in a age filled with dangers and distractions.

Blogging and podcasting are also an outlet for my work. The Scott Mace on Healthcare blog is where you can find my collected healthcare writings. Calendar Swamp is a blog I started in 2005 to write about the challenges of sharing common calendars and schedules, still an unsolved Internet problem.

Among the media outlets who have published my work are: the New England Journal of Medicine, HealthLeaders Media, The Conversations Network, Windows Secrets, Gannett Healthcare Group, Penton Media, McGraw-Hill, and IDG.
