I ‘ve been analyzing technical products and services for more than twenty years. During that time I’ve covered topics ranging from enterprise level systems to small business, and even to consumer products and gadgets. If it plugs in (or charges up), I’m interested in it, and have probably researched it, or its predecessor at one time. Over my writing career, I’ve written for consumer, technical magazines, and trade journals. I’m experienced running online newsletters with associated web sites. I’ve written hundreds of articles and columns published in print and online.
As a CIO for 15 years, I’ve not only had to plan, purchase, and implement technology systems, I’ve had to explain them to the companies I worked for, and the audience I wrote for. I authored the book Multisite Systems Integration (John Wiley & Sons, Inc.) describing methodologies for integrating distributed networks, based on one of the projects I developed for a health care provider. I‘ve created training manuals and presented the classes. And I’ve interviewed hundreds of people on subjects ranging from resort management to technology marketing.
While my main topics of focus currently include, EDI technology, nonprofit topics, and technology for medical practices, I also produce custom published newsletters for a variety of industries.
