Official Bio

Dee-Ann LeBlanc is a technical writer, tech journalist, editor, course developer, speaker, and trainer specializing in Linux, open source, Content Management Systems (CMS’s), and OS X. This diversity isn’t as all over the map as it sounds.

Technology-wise, Linux and OS X are close cousins as they’re both versions of UNIX, at least under the hood, and many CMS’s are both open source and run on Linux. Profession-wise, her activities all help her come to a deeper understanding of her subject matter and audience, such as what people care about in those topics, what gives them trouble, and the best way of getting more complex information across.

Over her almost twenty years in the industry, Dee-Ann’s clients have included the following:

Active Education, CIO.com, CMSWire.com, Coastlines STC newsletter, Computer Power User magazine, Coriolis Publishing, DevSource, Digital Education, DigitalThink, HP, IBM, InformIT.com, Inklings magazine online, Intercom magazine, Internet.com, ITBusinessNet.com, Linux AppDev newsletter, Linux Foundation’s Linux Developer Network and Linux.com, Linux Journal and LinuxJournal.com, LinuxPlanet.com and LinuxToday.com, LinuxWorld Magazine and LinuxWorld.com, New Riders Publishing, Newsforge, Que Publishing, Skillbridge, Splunk, StudioB, The Computer Paper, TechRepublic.com, TechTarget.com, Tiplet.com, TUX, WebSphere Developer Technical Journal. Wiley Publishing, Windows Professional, Ziff Davis
