I write about computers, gadgets, telecom, the Internet, apps, and other things that beep or blink. You can find me covering policy issues at Yahoo Tech, answering consumer questions at USA Today and writing for various other freelance clients–I may be the only person to have contributed to both Reader’s Digest and Boing Boing. I also show up on radio, podcasts and panels reasonably often, TV less so. Since getting into this business in the mid 1990s, I’ve met most of the founders of the Internet and once received a single-word e-mail reply from Steve Jobs.
